Hey, has anyone here actually gone through the full dental implant process from start to finish? I’m staring down the barrel of needing a couple in the next few months and I’m kinda freaking out about how long the whole thing really takes. Like, my dentist said something about bone healing and multiple appointments over almost a year, but that feels insane. Just looking for real stories from people who’ve done it, not the good, the annoying, and the “wish someone had warned me” parts.

Yep, I finished mine last year—two lowers on the same side. Started with extractions, waited three months for the bone to calm down, then they placed the implants. After that it was another four months before they could screw on the permanent crowns. The waiting sucked way more than the surgeries (those were quick and I was numbed to the gills). Recovery each time was mostly just soft foods and being careful brushing for a week or two. If you’re near Woodbridge, the place I went made it pretty painless logistically with teeth implants they laid everything out upfront so I always knew what was coming next. Totally worth it now that I can eat steak again without worry.
